Halo 3 ODST

Seems like Bungie going to be given us a more hardcore shooter this time. Since ODST don't have energy shields I expect Bungie to use intensity like Call of Duty and what not. But we'll have to find out.

The AI seems like a cool character, after all he is the AI of New Mombasa.

If any of you are not aware, this takes place moments after The prophet of Regret jumped to slipspace.

The AI of New Mombasa? Anyways, yeah, I expect it to be mixed between COD and Halo as you have to be more cunning and stealthy this time around and less of a juggernaut. =P

Tru, I'm expecting the health system to be like COD as well. Or they might give us med packs

Whenever there are med-packs in shooting games, it gets kind of difficult unless there are shields like in Halo, but yeah, it'd be classic style which I think was harder, but we've gotten used to easy settings so we won't do so well because of that. An example of a shooting game with health would be something like Project Snowblind or Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.

I'm wondering what the plot (besides the fact he's escaping new Mombasa) is going to be like

I got this Game Informer magazine talking about it. What happens is you kind of go around the place going to the locations of your teammates that got split up with you and you get a flashback and see what happens in the end(You were knocked out until sometime around nighttime).

I guess the plot is escaping the city but surviving first. I like the idea that its going to be more stealthy.

could be pritty fun if it's like cod yh cos cod and halo are my fav games so both put together well

I wouldn't like it to be like the Call of Duty games. Halo has been known for its own sort of thing and I wouldn't like it if it where to be like Call of Duty. I think Halo should be Halo and Call of Duty can be Call of Duty. Maybe if they fused a sort of Halo-y game and a Call of Duty type game it would be ok, but no, not Halo itself with Call of Duty.

i'm not saying it should be much like cod but i think it's pretty good that they might do the health system or something like cod because atm on halo you just peg it in there and shoot but cod you have to hide alot more.

It`s going to be like a 007 game because of all of the stealth you have to do in the game. And plus I heard that they`ll throw recon away to the people after it`s release. Is that true?

I wouldn't know about the Recon Armour part but you can get it if you complete all the Vidmaster Challenge Achievements. I have to say I preferred Halo 3: Recon than Halo 3: ODST but I think there shouldn't be the 3 part there. It should be something like Halo: Recon or Halo: ODST.

no idea but all i sore when wating videos about it was that part of your face goes black or something. but i don't realy know.

I think the game itself will just have to make you think ahead instead of just barging into enemies like you were able to do in previous Halo games. But Ill find out when it comes out.

I haven't been on this forum for ages and I'm still not sure if its still alive, but whatever. I think ODST is going to be a very good game, looks very interesting a fun, I have pre-ordered it with the Reach Beta and Sgt. Johnston!
